Early Intervention & GIP Claims Support

Through your Group Income Protection (GIP) policy with Generali, you have access to a range of services designed to proactively address absences at an early stage. The goal of Early Intervention is to resolve absences within the GIP Policy deferred period, thereby reducing claims incidence and associated absence costs for your business, while also supporting your employees during their recovery.

Who is Early Intervention available to?

Early Intervention referrals can be made for any employee eligible to claim under your GIP Policy at the time the need for support arises.

What types of absence can Early Intervention help with?

The effectiveness of Early Intervention lies in its timeliness. We provide support for recently emerging health needs that can be addressed to facilitate a sustained return to work. Common conditions we assist with include newly diagnosed mild to moderate mental illness, acute musculoskeletal injuries, early-stage cancer diagnoses, and fatigue related symptoms. While our pathways can support a variety of other absence causes, these are the most frequent types of referrals we receive.
