World Stroke Day
29 October 2025
World Stroke Day, held on 29 October, is a global awareness campaign led by the World Stroke Organization. The initiative focuses on stroke prevention, symptom recognition, and survivor support. This year’s theme, #GreaterThanStroke, encourages people to get active and reduce their risk through lifestyle changes. The campaign promotes the F.A.S.T. acronym—Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call emergency services—as a life-saving tool. Resources include posters, videos, and survivor stories to educate communities and drive action. With one in four adults likely to experience a stroke, World Stroke Day is a vital opportunity to spread awareness and advocate for better care. 🧠#WorldStrokeDay #GreaterThanStroke 🔗 Get involved
Together with our Wellbeing Investment Matching partners and Early Intervention partners, we’ve designed and collated a vast range of wellbeing communication material in line with key national and international health awareness days. This repository of resources is designed with HR, Line Managers and Employees in mind. Many of the workshops and training courses in our wellbeing calendar are completely free of charge.
Any employers interested in cost option workshops or training courses provided by our wellbeing partners should talk to us about Wellbeing Investment Matching - an initiative by Generali UK to help companies partly or fully fund a wellbeing initiative where a specific need is identified.
