National obesity awareness week

National Obesity Awareness Week, held in January, is a UK campaign by the National Obesity Forum to raise awareness of obesity and promote healthier lifestyles. With predictions that 50% of the UK population could be obese by 2050, the campaign calls for urgent action. It provides practical tips on nutrition, exercise, and weight management, and encourages small daily changes—like walking more or cooking at home. Resources include healthy recipes, fitness guides, and advice for families. The campaign also highlights the societal cost of obesity, urging government and community support. It’s a national call to action to turn obesity around. #ObesityAwareness #HealthyLiving 🔗 Explore resources

Together with our Wellbeing Investment Matching partners and Early Intervention partners, we’ve designed and collated a vast range of wellbeing communication material in line with key national and international health awareness days. This repository of resources is designed with HR, Line Managers and Employees in mind. Many of the workshops and training courses in our wellbeing calendar are completely free of charge.

Any employers interested in cost option workshops or training courses provided by our wellbeing partners should talk to us about Wellbeing Investment Matching - an initiative by Generali UK to help companies partly or fully fund a wellbeing initiative where a specific need is identified.
