Backcare Awareness Week

BackCare Awareness Week, led by the UK charity BackCare, is dedicated to promoting spinal health and preventing back pain. Held annually in October, the campaign provides downloadable posters, booklets, and educational resources to raise awareness in workplaces, schools, and communities. Back pain affects millions and is often caused by poor posture, sedentary lifestyles, or improper lifting techniques. This week encourages individuals to adopt ergonomic practices, stretch regularly, and seek professional support when needed. Employers are urged to create healthier work environments by investing in ergonomic furniture and promoting movement throughout the day. Whether you're a desk worker, manual labourer, or caregiver, BackCare Awareness Week is a reminder to prioritise your spine and prevent long-term injury. #BackCareAwarenessWeek #HealthySpine 🔗 Access resources

Together with our Wellbeing Investment Matching partners and Early Intervention partners, we’ve designed and collated a vast range of wellbeing communication material in line with key national and international health awareness days. This repository of resources is designed with HR, Line Managers and Employees in mind. Many of the workshops and training courses in our wellbeing calendar are completely free of charge.

Any employers interested in cost option workshops or training courses provided by our wellbeing partners should talk to us about Wellbeing Investment Matching - an initiative by Generali UK to help companies partly or fully fund a wellbeing initiative where a specific need is identified.
